A thorough clean-up of cement mortar residue immediately following the installation of your natural stone is essential. A newly installed floor or wall must be cured for 4 to 6 weeks. Do not use products containing grease, soap or wax during this curing time. This can cause the pores of the stone to close which restricts the evaporation of moisture from the setting bed. Spots or discoloration on the stone surface will result if the surface is mistakenly sealed before curing.
